On screen keyboard is pretty similar to the one you pictured. It does have predictive typing and you can move it around and stuff.

Here's a video of it in action

The type cover is surprisingly good.

Surface Pro 3? More like thousands of dollars.

No, not the pro. Just the Surface 3. It starts at $500 new.

thanks, it's on my watchlist for now though, I'm gonna wait a month because I still want to see if I can get the iPad fixed cheaply (it's got a broken screen and the touchscreen is broke)

is it even worth getting it fixed? it's an ipad 2 and is about 5 years old

another question, is it possible to use mobile networks with it like 2g/3g/4g? do I need a network dongle for that or is there a sim card reader that comes with it/built in?

There's a version with mobile networks built in, but not all of them come with it standard. Mine doesn't.

the surface 3 is £49.99 off so now it's £377, however now I'm torn between the 64GB version and the 128GB version priced at £450, which of these should I get?

alright yeah, 64gb it is since I won't really ever use this for gaming

next question, should I get the pen that adds £44? I'd love to use this for school stuff, and I can do fine without a physical keyboard

well it's £50 off, so if I get the pen with it it'll be around the same price as the basic surface was without this discount

I'll hold off on the pen for now

I have the pen and it's extremely useful for math. So if you can use it in class, the pen is really awesome.
