It sounds bad but its going to get worse once you realize you're stuck with that kind of internet until you move out. Sorry but your options are strictly limited to paying for better internet, moving, or telling your family justly to forget off with the netflix stuff.

dsl through century link. its not necessarily bad considering the price is low but again its the only thing available here and they just screw you over being lazy and absolutely is terrible for people who actually know how to work around with internet because they don't offer any of it. even things like portforwarding, dmz, etc. its all just "fake" options and they do not actually work.

Maybe you could make a deal with your family. See if you can do them any favors in exchange for them not going on netflix for certain periods of the day.
You could also try playing at night but that can really screw up your sleep schedule.
