Hell yeah, if I could run a bustling 200-pop fortress with a grove of trees, cavern access, and breach the circus at year 1055, with NO LAG, then this game will be near-perfect.

Since .43 is stable (enough) I'd say our next update is artifacts wooooo!

Hell yeah, the entire magic and artifact update sounds really exciting. Normally I don't usually play DF unmodded but this'd probably be a good excuse to do it more often.
