Author Topic: Do banks in your city/country limit ATM withdrawal?  (Read 1141 times)

I once paid with a card for a $2 item because I am a monster.

I wish I could use my card for every purchase regardless of value. Unfortunately someone decided that no, forget you

I actually kept the receipt since it's a bank one and it was actually $1.54 for a single 2.5l Fanta bottle.

Using your card for everything isn't bad though. It'll get you some solid credit for when you go to purchase a car or house.

actually it's pretty loving normal here, as there are no fees and almost every store has a reader (with most of them being contactless, just tap and you've paid)

i only withdraw notes so i can use them for normal purchases so i can get coins for vending machines

$500/day atm withdraw limit. idc bc if i need more for whatever reason i can visit my credit union in person and pull out whatever i want

this. if you have the money to pay it all back immediately or at least make all the payments over time, then you can only benefit from using a credit card-- implying you don't plan on paying for a house with entirely cash up front. as soon as i hit my monthly debit purchase requirement, i only use my credit card. after a year and a half my credit score is about 730

my bank is wells fargo. they let me withdraw up to $310 per day and debit up to $500 per day
then again i still have a teen account so it might change once i get an adult account

That being said I have no idea why you'd need more than £20-40 in a day. Maybe few stores have card readers in Argentina, who knows.
Many if not all stores have them. Our tax is 21% so they give you a 25% discount if you pay by cash plus you shouldn't be walking without some money on you. Who knows if you end up needing something such as a ride or unplanned takeout.

Via ATM, $2000 in a single transaction with my bank, not sure if that's per day as well.

It's not a city-imposed limit but you decide when you set up your bank account how much you want to be able to withdraw max. You can also call in ahead of time if you have to make a particularly big withdrawl.

uh, not a debit card. a credit card yes
still there's nothing wrong with it. you'd probably just be withdrawing the cash from the same account otherwise, lol. I use my debit card anywhere I can, which is unfortunately not everywhere

that's really silly to not be using a credit card if you use your debit card everywhere, especially at your age where credit will an extremely important part of your life for the next ten years.

well, I don't have a job right now, or any other source of income. so it doesn't really seem like a great idea to get one yet

not that i know of. i've never used an atm anyways, not that i could use the ones in town even if i wanted to. if i want to withdraw money, i just go to walmart and buy some hubba bubba.

They didn't specify when they gave me the card, but I usually never withdraw more than 200 at a time.

I just pulled $4000 out of my savings account at once, but went inside the bank and didn't use an ATM
