Author Topic: saints row reboot  (Read 1309 times)

I don't know how I feel about this

No character creation and even worse humor and dialogue than SR3?

W-w-what could possibly go wrong?

not sure what to think really
i feel like they shouldn't have associated this with the Saint's Row franchise. It looks totally different. Perhaps they could've had a link between this game and Saint's Row in the game itself, but having bright purple colors and a logo similar to the SR logo hurts it more than it helps it, i think.

tbh i thought this was some kind of knockoff until i saw it's made by the same devs

this isn't a saints row reboot
it's in the same shared universe as sr but has almost nothing to do with it besides being made by the same dev
volition just really likes purple

now if only they liked making good games as much as they like purple nowadays

Media looks like a kids movie.  I'm waiting for real game play footage.

Probably is gonna be the big Deep Silver reveal that's being rumoured. Will likely be shown at the Xbox Conference.

I thought people really liked SR, so what's with the backlash?

Methinks everybody is up in arms because this looks like an Overwatch/Crackdown knock-off instead of making a proper Saint's Row game, and without the customisation or zaniness of SR it's probably not going to go down well.

i typed like 3 short paragraphs saying why this is a disgrace to the SR franchise but decided forget it, it they removed that ugly loving attempt at a geometric fleur-de-lis its practically an entirely different game, just made by familliar devs

on that note: it looks like stuff and this is a game im not going to pick up with an 11 inch rubber carrot

None of the reasons people liked SR are found on this game with what we have so far.

It's like the jump from Red Alert 2 to Red Alert 3.

Otherwise I am not even sure why connect them like this. No name connection, but yet obvious Fleur-de-lis and purple theme connection. Like what the hell are they even thinking? "Hey guys let's make Saints Row 5... wait no let's name it something else, oh and let's scrap everything that the games had going for up until now. But it's still like Saints Row y'no?"
