Is buying old keyboards a trend or something
they're not old, they just have a very simple design. There are a lot mechanical keyboards built recently in this style.

how does it look old......
They're literally 1990s keyboards tricked out with different colors and LEDs

Why would you ever want a keyboard without the actual letters on it?

i spilled some orange juice into my keyboard like an hour ago and wondered if the $80 that i spent 2 years ago just went to waste
update: it just died and i am now using really bad rubber domes please kill me

also suggest 60% keyboards for ~$100

Having a sleek and rather unique design that brings up questions like this when you have no issue typing at the keyboard without looking at it? If anything this is also anti-anything for anyone that uses your computer that doesn't know how to type on the keyboard.
Go blanks with DVORAK or AZERTY and gg. Unless of course someone just plugs their own keyboard in, in which case gg to you.
Overall I like the aspect of blanks, I'd desire a blank keyboard but right now I am stuck with some gaming backlight crap. It was the cheapest mechanical around and I got it second hand, and I needed a quick replacement for my Razer Blackwidow which I broke back in time, which I have custom modded with blank keycaps, although I did not have backlight at the time so it would be silly to put them on now, not to mention the additional keys.
This thing broke after I spilled some energy drink on it. Gg me.

Now I just have this thing.

No, they're really not...

They're 100% modern mechanical keyboards with different colors and LEDs.

Yeah but there's nothing sleek about them. They're bulky and look ancient.

Let's pay $200 so we have less buttons than a $5 keyboard.
60% and TKL >$100 is the most dumb thing I can't phantom when there are 100% mechanicals at <$100.

do you look down while you type?
Yes
Because my special snowflake country uses azerty but I use qwerty  (wich isnt so different anyways) and everytime I use another computer (school, laptop, friends, whatever) I have to switch to azerty qnd type everything zrong zich sucks qss

Also I type more accurate when I look at my keyboard. Its like visual aid. I dont get why you wouldnt when typing a paragraph anyways. Its not like you have to position it or something.
But I also type with 2 fingers because im a pleb and never understood typing with 5. And my pinkie finger is barely large enough to reach backspace. (Also the reason I bind CTRL and ALT to my mouse because my pinkie finger is having trouble getting there.

The keys are huge. You could buy a modern keyboard that's five times thinner.

also 'modern' =/= better

why would i want a stuffty thin keyboard with scissor switches when i could have something that sounds better, looks better, and feels better to type on?

Surface area and width aren't the same thing.

I'm just not seeing it. The keys are loose and loud too.
