Child Found Dead - Disney Alligator Attack

Banning alligators only leaves the message that ALL alligators are extremists and would try to eat children.

Oh wait.

It absolutely disgusts me that we actually have a contender for the presidency who suggests banning all alligators from entering Disney world, how insensitive and discriminatory.

But the dad tried to pry the alligators jaws open
Admirable, but pointless. Alligators and Crocodiles have extremely powerful jaws that snap shut with great strength.
But the muscles to open them are exceedingly weak and you can hold them down with elastic bands.

Even though the dad tried to help, I can't help but find the parents responsible for not keeping track of the young kid. Especially in as busy a place as Disney World where a child could easily get seperated from its parents.

Yessssss.
That is so relevant

people on twitter are ok with it because the child who died was white

() its your fault orlando

rip child. we have an alligator problem

wtf who thought it would be a good idea to put a disney hotel over an alligator lake
btw, the report says that it was on a MAN MADE lake.

Its as if Disney didn't have enough of a warning as it is

What is with kids trying to play with dangerous animals?

the stuffed animals they own lure them into a false sense of security

alligators really aren't dangerous. gator attacks are extremely rare and most locals in louisiana let their kids swim in the river with them. i don't think disney really expected this to happen.

the alligator didnt even kill the kid. it dragged him into the water thinking he was something else, then let him go and he drowned. it's not like the alligator intentionally came out for human baby.

also, a sign is not warning enough at a hotel designed for children. many of them can't or wont read. they might not even NOTICE the sign.

Im not saying the sign is designed for kids, a lot of signs go un-noticed as a kid, like height restrictions for roller coasters or a "Do Not Enter" sign or even a "Male" and "Female" bathroom sign

For both the Alligator and Gorilla incident, is a lack of parenting. Your responsible for your child and the area he/she is in. This is the equivalent of a mother watching a movie and letting her kid loose in the house but the kid manages to kill himself because he fell off the kitchen chair or some freak accident. Honestly the likelihood of another kid getting killed by an alligator in Disney is far less then getting killed while being left in a car that's off.
