Try disabling any OS or software firewalls and connect directly to the modem (no router). If that doesn't work, you're hosed.

To establish the location of the problem, try playing Blockland on another computer in your house.

After testing on another computer I have found out that it is, indeed, this computer. That means that nothing is wrong with the router, because the two computers use the same connection. Now what?

I'd look for some internet connection diagnostic utilities or something. Either that, or reinstall the old OS.

It turns out that the culprit was a trojan, the virus kind of trojan to be more exact. It invalidates your key and messes with it. If you have any similar problems the first thing I recommend is a virus scan, the program I used is this.
(Windows only, but I'm sure you can find one for Mac)
