let us all be free with ourselves and share ideas for servers or games that we've had on our minds

i had an idea to make a platformer game very similar to Super Mario 64, with modter maps and collectable stuffs

i also once tried making a tetris thing using events and bricks so they'd fall

I've been working on a server that's basically a remake of that old card/figure game Bakugan, mainly for nostalgia purposes.

I'm working on pizza delivery gamemode - a racing game where you competitively deliver pizzas, earn money, upgrade your vehicle and eventually become employee of the day.

That part of the gamemode is already finished and is being hosted 24/7. My goal now is to add extra modes and polish the game.

I'm currently working on a mode called "Explosive Pizza" - one player is randomly selected to carry a 'pizza bomb' (pizza box with a bomb fuse coming out) at the start of the round. The bomb can be transferred from player to player by getting near each other, and the bomb explodes after 40 seconds, killing whoever has it at the time. After exploding, another player is randomly selected to get a bomb. To win, you must be the last person alive.

I should also add that the game uses a server-sided direction system (by Armageddon) that shows each player where to go to deliver their pizzas. The direction system is also used in "Explosive Pizza" mode to show the bomb-carrier where the nearest player is.

still slowly working on my black mesa RP gamemode/schema for my RP framework thing, I keep getting discouraged though by the fact that I can't build for stuff.

A Contra style server. Or a turned-based RPG server.

I wanted to make a "Religion of Peace" game-mode that involved slaughtering tons of helpless bots in certain places, such as an airport in Brussels, a nightclub, you get the idea...

Killing a bot = 1 point. Person with the most points by the end of the round wins. You get a bomb belt and extra points every time you commit Self Delete. Bots would come in waves, and around wave 3 cops would rock up, around wave 5 SWAT would rock up, you get the idea. Every time you die not by Self Delete you lose points

I've considered reviving the older "zombie defense" idea. Despite there being lots of zombie themed servers up, none really parallel the older Rotondo Zombies based zombie defense server. I'm considering a somewhat different spin on it where players can place pre-designed structures as opposed to the old style where users had to unlock pre-placed and built defenses.

I've also thought about bringing back a remake of Mr. Wallet's Rise of Blockland crossed with some ideas from Iban's never-finished CityRPG, although servers seem to be much more round-based and short lived and it seems that the player base is less interested in longer games like RoB/good CityRPGs.

Now that I've finished working on Glass 2, I'm gonna start investing time in one of those at least.

An arena style deathmatch.

Perhaps a gamemode where custom maps and weapons are easy to implement.

Oh boy!
Ideas!

I was working on a stealthy sniper king of the hill gamemode with traps akin to the ones you see in deathruns.

The point of it was to get to the center castle and stay there on your own.
In there you could use kill-points to set of death traps around the map ranging from setting a forest on fire, tornadoes, spawning national socialist bots to even an homicidal combine harvester.

The only weapon you had was the old school sniper, which was edited to show a huge flash animation to make the shot clearly visible to everyone.
Because of the open fields you had to track through, stealth was needed as just running through would make you a target for everyone.
Either you had to run from rock to fence, or wade through tall grass.
The grass became undule when you were touching it though, making you still slightly visible.

Maybe I should pick it back up because my other gamemode where I was trying to recreate Super Smash Brothers with characters like Master chief, Shrek and Spongebob failed.
The constant player corrections made it too laggy if your ping was higher than 1ms.
I doubt I could somehow get keybindings for multiple controllers on Blockland to make it local only...

Also would like to point out this topic filled with ideas:

A Legend of Zelda clone (probably mostly Link to the Past inspired). Either a singleplayer gamemode or working out some way to make it cooperative.

A server that allows you to change sizes through certain aspects (power-ups, etc) to gain the upperhand. However, your size determines how you flow well on the field meaning that both good and bad traits are going to apply to you.

A pseudo-roguelike with randomized item pickups from bosses and chests.

Firefighters vs Bros tdm
