it was more of a preemptive 'dont start a debate over feminism esp since its a great minority/majority argument'

I was drawing a comparison between the arguments

the audience was bad for that particular comparison, the only way it could've gone was to start another topic


in any case BLM is, in theory, a completely reasonable movement about issues in law enforcement. the fact is that these issues have caused tensions that have led to riots and violence (as well as plenty of unpleasant rhetoric) which isn't justifiable and isn't right, and in all this smoke BLM has always been in the middle. it's no wonder people doubt the intentions of the movement when keeps finding itself in the middle of chaos. there's still the possibility of peaceful protest for the real issues here, but people aren't going to take those protests seriously if these things keep happening. and that's a sad thing, because i do think that there are legitimate problems that need to be addressed with law enforcement.

this thread brings up a pretty good point that i've been thinking about.

as a forum, we argue too much. what we need to stop this is a leader who you guys will all 100% agree with and circlejerk around his opinion. this will avoid all future conflict and the forums will be a peaceful place.
