< oh stuff I mis-judged the distance, they were only 2 feet away actually
< pencil goes flying across the room, hits the wall and explodes into a thousand wooden shards
< whole class is staring at me, it's a 400 person lecture
< I turn red and start to breathe heavily out of embarrasment
< some students are visibly terrified, getting out of their seats and heading for the exit
