i had to check my word replacer to make sure I hadn't replaced loving with f r e a k i n g. i hadn't. are you ok?

< someone drops their pencil and it rolls over to me
< pick it up and I'm about to hand it back, but they're 20 feet away
< chuck it at them
< oh stuff I mis-judged the distance, they were only 2 feet away actually
< pencil goes flying across the room, hits the wall and explodes into a thousand wooden shards
< whole class is staring at me, it's a 400 person lecture
< I turn red and start to breathe heavily out of embarrasment
< some students are visibly terrified, getting out of their seats and heading for the exit
< professor immediately dismisses lecture

these three points give me so many questions:
1) how the Fucc do you mistake 20 feet with 2 feet??
2) why would you throw that hard that the pencil forgetin explodes??
3) why did you throw it? like this sounds as if you loving lobbed it as opposed to a gentle under-arm throw
