you can try to solve this "problem" with tight as richard control
since you own the thread you have ALL THE POWER
use the polls to deliver a message or something. lock the thread so people shut up. the sky is the limit, but it's better to experiment right now instead of something definitive
you own the thread, people will listen to you if you put down a temporary rule for tonight like "no rp tonight fellas"
and if they don't listen, make them listen
or they could start posting in day discussion instead for their formal discussions heheh yeah
