wasn't this happening at a time where some people were rigging things so that whenever you picked them up/turned them on (like clicking on the flashlight) they'd blow up in your hand? i thought it was also happening around the same time people were making those bottles that'd blow up in your hands when you picked them up
i remember someone saying the backstory to that image was something along those lines
