I just don't see much point to kicks. If someone pisses me off I just ban them for a few days.

I usually use kicks as warnings, which they should be used for. I don't see any reason to have a... reason for kicks.

Generally you want to kick someone quickly like if they're spamming or something. If they're just being annoying you can tell them in the chat why you're kicking them, then kick them.
