I'm a socialist. My mother is a democrat and my father is a republican.

this post is just "I'm mad my parents are more forward-thinking than me :(((((((((((((((("
Wanting to allow a bunch of terrorists in your country is forward thinking? Did liberals change the definition of that like they did gender?

bad boy

i would say my mom has a snowden view

as in she doesn't like any of the candidates and she thinks nobody represents her this year

while i am pretty moderate i guess

i dont know if this counts as political but my mom is christian and im atheist
Same... Sort of. I think that if there is a being with power over the universe, it either isn't absolute power or the being isn't absolutely good... Or it has different morals than us, but there's probably something somewhere that's guiding the universe towards SOMETHING.

anyways basically I think we should have an "evolving" government, where the highest power is the military, but they only have slightly more power than they do now (basically, still no authority over average joe) and the laws are made by a system of rules. Basically, someone says "This is a thing that may need regulated" and someone picks a bunch of regulations and picks one at random. If people don't like it or if it doesn't make the statistics go in the direction wanted, you change it. If the change makes it worse, undo that and don't do it again, if it works better, keep it. The idea needs refined, obviously. Also, companies need to #### off and leave politics alone. Down with... What was the ruling? Citizens United? The one that says companies are people when it comes to politics and are able to use free speech by spending large amounts of cash to fund campaigns and stuff.

not really, most of my family members i speak to are all against refugees and stuff

but my mom thinks shillary should win and her only reason is that she'd be the first female president, which is dumb

listen to your family

uhm my whole family are authoritarian pseudo liberals. they love hillary and they dislike bernie (and jill stein) for "trying to steal her election!" also they hate edward snowden. they got pissed off that i was watching the document citizenfour (which is amazing by the way) and they were like "he's just a traitor!"

when i tell them bernie is way more liberal they will seriously tell me "Bernie Sanders is an old white man!" i guess their hearts are in the right place. really weird though. my dad had it right, he voted for bernie.

god and don't get me start on religion. 1/3 of my family are catholic and 1/3 are southern baptist and 1/3 are episcopalian (which is what i always identified with before i turned to satan, those guys are really great). so its pretty jesus-y, my mom literally teaches sunday school. the catholic and southern baptist parts used to be libertarians but they seem to have assimilated into the hillary hivemind.

so um. jill stein 2016

I'm a socialist.

speaking of jill stein I never really knew what the green party was, but the other day I looked it up cus I got curious cus of that isidewith thread, and I can't find much that I disagree with

my grandparents are pretty much conservatives, though my grandmother did support bernie for a short time before going back to Annoying Orange, and iirc my uncles & aunts except for one are pretty conservative/traditional of the old ways. so, as far as i know, except for that one uncle i think i'm on the same political side as my closer family. it's kinda hard to tell because aside from my grandparents (when they're home of course) everyone's pretty quiet about their political views

ya the only problem is they will never win and also are one of the primary reasons al gore didnt become president

I don't really want to discuss much with my family about politics of I can help it, but I know that my grandfather is more far-right than any of us.

my entire family is strongly conservative but I am more centrist.
