{x}The elusive Mothman is a mysterious half-man, half-moth hybrid whose appearances seem to directly correlate with disastrous events. For example, the event he is famous for, the collapsing of the Point Pleasant Silver Bridge. Multiple eyewitnesses report seeing a mysterious man-like creature flying around the area before the collapse. This event caused Mothman to rise to infamy in America, still lingering in popular culture to this day. It had such a profound impact on Pleasant Point, West Virginia, that not only is there a Mothman Museum, which contains props and memorabilia from the movie The Mothman Prophecies, but there is a statue tribute to Mothman (with a beautifully sculpted ass, might I add).
Whether real, or an elaborate tourist revenue scheme, this mystical moth will always hold a special place in my heart. #MothMan2k16
