Author Topic: what do you think about your school?  (Read 1861 times)

it's been a while since i started a topic here

so what do you think about school if you have a custom opinion? this is only like my 4th day since yesterday (or the day after), and it's alright.

in my personal opinion, i feel like school raises you a lot of questions. not like academic or elective subjects, but you kinda ask why you are being taught some complex and particular stuff that raises those kinds of questions in school. for example, do i really need to learn calculus in order to dwell into life or something like that? do i really need to learn all of this stuff?

i don't know, my school is pretty chill when it comes to making you learn, and i believe high school's purpose is to get you settled in life, which basic knowledge of academic subjects and what you wanna learn and etc. i normally self-teach myself though, and it's not that i'm saying "i don't need school, i have the internet!!".

i'm asking like when you're in a needlessly complex subject and it's there because you need it in life. there are schools that sometimes teach you how to handle real life stuff like paying taxes, civics (government stuff basically), and etc. but there are some schools that don't teach you any of that and that basically irritatingly makes me question why.

tl;dr school is ok but i feel like some parts in school are unnecessary and schools should teach you how to be a normal citizen and live life basically.

my school is ok, it has it's goods & bads.
I might them later.

my teachers for senior year are pretty cool but i can't stand my classmates

i guess this is what i get for living in maryland

I have the best teachers this year and HS to be honest is much more easier than middle-school was

I like/love it

I guess English isn't
lol I was typing too quick and forgot to add that in

the teachers + administration are stuffty (can't talk back kind of types and rarely actually teach), the rules are stuffty, the building is stuffty, the food is stuffty, and the people are very very stuffty, and the punishments are absurd
the dress code is pretty lenient but males can't wear sleeveless clothing for some reason
we can't have our phones out or headphones on when we're in the hallway
i want to leave this place so loving badly

we can't have our phones out or headphones on when we're in the hallway

People really need their phones that badly?

well since the teachers pretty much never let us use them in class you'd think that we'd have time to catch up without our online lives between classes but now that's forgeted

So that would be a yes

ill let you know when i go back as a cleaning technician instead. #Awkward. And they said I wouldn't amount to anything, i sure showed them.

i think people shouldnt go back on tuesday

My school outsources food from another school district, it's in a rundown strip mall basically, the people are ok, we can't have our phones out during transitional time, we can't have our phones out at all during the day, we can't solve problems on our own we need a teacher to hold our hand and do it, the teachers are gr8, the administration is so-so and we have a buttforget ton of rules
if you don't get straight a's or B's you get forgeted in the ass
if you miss an assignment you get forgeted in the ass
if you miss school, you get forgeted in the ass
if you are tardy, you get forgeted in the ass
