Author Topic: Anyone still using a CRT?  (Read 1452 times)

DVI? it probably has a DVI output, and the monitor probably has a DVI input or you can use a converter
Issue is my monitor is VGA and card is DVI-D and there aren't ant DVI-D to VGA adapters that are as good as HDMI

My dad still has one
it's older than me
the ones we still have are from circa 1990 and they're the same ones i used to watch tapes on when i was very little

I use a 22" CRT for my GameCube and N64 but my computer monitors are all digital.

do 1080 crt exist?
I'm sure that there are far more than just 1,080 CRT screens, bisjac

I don't, but one of my friends still does. I tell ya its quite been a while since I've felt the static from a crt.
I still plan on getting one in the future if only for the older consoles I own such as the SNES, PS1, GameCube, etc.

do 1080 crt exist?
real answer: no. i mean later ones AFAIK were able to take care of widescreen and composite, but HD wasn't really a CRT thing

Yes, only a few actually did. One of them was used to make the original QUAKE.

Here's the pic of John Carmack using it:

yeah i use a big one as my secondary monitor. it's 1600x1200 and from like, 1998. cybervision c112. it's actually a really nice monitor, just huge and super heavy.
