the reason we "remember 9/11" is because only fifteen years have gone by and pretty much everyone in the generation it happened to is still alive
it's what happened with pearl harbor why don't we remember it as much anymore well forgettons of people from that era are already dead so why should we
3,000 people died that's a lot of people directly or indirectly affected and when they die off then we can talk about ramping down the seriousness surrounding the event a bit
