Do servers from the Steam and Non-Steam version of Blockland go together?

Sorry if I'm bad at explaining but, can someone who has the Non-Steam version of Blockland go onto a server with people from the Steam version?

But of course they can. The only difference(s) between the Steam and retail versions is that authentication is done with your Steam account rather than your key in retail, and Steam users can't host dedicated because they lack a key and Badspot can't do Steam verification for there.

No reason to split the fan base, really.
