Console.log not working?

I would like to talk through the Console, but for some reason it won't let me. I'm using the command console.log("Hello");  but it will not work. Any help?

it doesn't work because that's not a valid command, where did you even find that?
be more specific as well - do you want to simply display a message in the console for yourself or use the console to broadcast a message on the server which everyone can see?
