i do not support the ban but there is very good reason for it, seeing as pitbulls were bred for fighting and are pretty dangerous when not raised properly.

There is no good reason for this, any dog can be trained to be dangerous. Pitbulls make up a majority of the shelter population in North America, this is essentially genocide because of the situation we put them in.

A lot of people are seeing this and just going like "oh alright well that sucks darn" but the Pitbull ban basically means that any Pitbulls currently unadopted and just kicking it in kennels are pretty much just going to be euthanized, along with the citizens who own their dogs unless they gtfo asap.

if you look at it from the governments point of view you can at least understand, as it is unrealistic to apply and police strict requirements for owning and training a dog (something you could argue actually limits your freedoms even more) and the dogs themselves seem to continue to end up in the hands of people who do not know how to properly treat them, which results in more injuries.
