It's already a no-buy for me since it's Verizon only. What a way to lose a lot of customers, Google.

Pretty sure if you buy it from googles site it's unlocked and you can add it to your carrier

If that's true, then that's great.

I think they've just confused people by exclusively mentioning Verizon tbh.

Why would anyone get this over a OnePlus 3 or ZTE Axon 7.

Better camera, faster updates, and google Assistant.

Also, I think I'll be getting the 6p on Saturday now. Super hyped.

I wouldn't mind getting the oneplus 3 but the carriers that support it aren't in my area. Verizon is literal monopoly over my area so i'm forgeted.

it looks alright. not sure how i feel about that fingerprint magnet glossy back bit, and i definitely feel that they should've put buttons on that massive bottom bezel (and maybe some front-facing speakers on the top bezel) but maybe they just couldn't fit it in there or something.

Which makes sense, it's supposed to be light and ran by people who can't afford full priced machines. You're not gonna put a limited OS on a powerful machine.
they're also very popular with schools. good battery life, the school's IT has an even greater chokehold on network traffic (esp youtube), supports the standardized testing program stuff, etc. my school has a stuffton of them in charger cart things.

when i buy an android phone i want it to look like an android phone, not an iphone
google seems like they're trying to pander to iphone buyers
not a bad decision business-wise though because people who are attracted to the aesthetics of the iphone may come over to this phone

I can't wait for the unstoppable google business machine to animalistically massacre all these dubiously sub-par smartphone manufacturers

I, for one, welcome our new Google overlords
out of all the corporations that could take over the world, i'd be most okay with google doing it.

Idk if that's worth $250. Why not just buy a real camera with the money you save.

fucc this stuff looks good

I hate this argument, because normal people (as in not actual photographers) don't want to carry around a smartphone plus a bulky camera. The point is to have it all in one. Now I sort of agree that it's not worth the money, but buying a camera with the saved money is not for most people.
