for real, what exactly is your job, like what do you do
I work for ComDel, a contractual manufacturing company that was created by the decline of iMation and 3M in my area. They're independent and owned by no larger business. Companies and conglomerates come to us for manufacturing assistance, they give us plans, we make it happen. We can revise their plans for efficiency if we have too, we have a team of engineers that work directly with the companies we make products for. We make products that range from lids for spray cups, steel plates for agriculture, powder coating bullets for civilian use, and EpiPen production. We also have an R&D department that works directly with other businesses to help create the product they want to mass-market.
is it a fun job
Depends on the people you work with. If no one says a thing, it will get long and boring. Shifts are 12hrs for non-salaried workers.
Do you find this source of vocation to adequately support you financially?
$12.50 during day shift / $15.50 during night shift. Overtime is mandatory. Yes.
