I've been honestly waiting for the proper time to start up a public discord with a few dudes for playing vidya games and tabletop games with other forumers, but it seems like there's a new discord every day and I'm afraid that I'd get a stuff ton of backlash for posting "yet another discord"

make a thread for it but make it invite only. youre already a known user which is all you need.

you realize that the reason why people are mad isn't because people are making too many good discords, but that a ton of new/immature forumers are trying to create stuffty discords because they "don't like" the current ones?

your discord would be fine, it's the ones made by new-ish users that nobody wants more of.

all i'm saying is that every kid on the forums tries to start a discord in hopes of branding a new group/sub-community. people have called me out for this when I made a discord, but mine was only to have a group call during my challenge server / future servers.

It's super relaxed i've never had to ban anyone and all of its 40+ users get along plus it's mostly the well known forumers

The key to making a new discord is make it super welcoming and enjoyable. Mine doesn't even have rules besides no memes and use common sense
