Author Topic: Need some metals that dont corrode but conduct electricity  (Read 10104 times)

Going to use aluminium. The aluminium oxide apperently goes arround the aluminium protecting it for further corrosion.
Also its very cheap so if it get forgeted up too bad I can simple replace it

your'e just gonna short through the water bruh

yeah this
also aluminum doesn't corrode like other metals because it can form its own protective layer, but eventually it'll corrode

Thats why I gotta find a way not too
Distilled water and mineral oil doesnt conduct electricity tough but that doesnt count as water.

I got an entire year for this experiment project stuff so I got plenty of time to research.
Maybe you guys have some ideas?

sealed wooden/plastic tube with wire inside? Or would that count as an insulator?

It does

Honestly if I were you I would just take like a big piece of foam or something that floats and lay the wire across it lol.

But the thing is that it has to go trough water

this experiment is handicapped

I know
I still want good grades tough

did you come up with it or did your teacher? I don't know how the hell you're gonna conduct through only the wires and not the water as well without the wire being insulated, that's what insulating is for

The teacher ofcourse
Id make a mini fusion generator and somehow not get it melting due to heat if I could choose a subject
Thatd be cool

Having electricity conduct through wire, but not the surrounding water without insulation is absolutely void of logic.

What exactly were the parameters given for this project?

tell your teacher they are mentally handicapped

tell your teacher they are mentally handicapped
much more likely espio is misunderstanding the assignment
