I challenge you all from Retail Blockland to build the Antenna Cradle.

You must:

-Use the correct scale.

-Make a seperate map, (a hole in the ground) just like the one you see in the picture.

-It must look almost the same, no layout changes.

I'm too fat, lazy, stupid, and ugly to even attempt this,in fact I'm just gonna yell at people who are doing it for not doing it correctly.

I'll do it when Lego comes out with stretchy diagonal bricks.

I wonder how much that lags. Especially on such an outdated engine.

Someone should raid the blockland central forums :D

We should challenge them to build a 50k brick build.

We could start by throwing together a satellite dish in Torque Constructor instead of the hideous monstrosity that Pro Builder sculpted out of the terrain. :cookieMonster:

Have no fear...

Supersnake117 is here!

Get me a layout or some diagrams.

Also find me Afkpuz, Bones4, and maybe some of the lead MotE builders.

My school has Auto-cad, I can use it, but we'd have to wait for Tuesday. They've got Chief Architect as well, which would be great since I can make a 3D render and 2d views easily, but I don't think you could really make a radio telescope in it. I'd have to do it all through measurements using Google Earth.

If you are really interested, we could start organizing it in the USSR and MotE threads.

The man who designed the telescope was William E. Gordon. If you know anyone at Rice University, you might be able to get a copy of his papers regarding the construction of the telescope sent to you.

The diagrams you are looking for might be somewhere in these papers:

My guess is that we would probably want to stick to easy to find stuff...

There is a dome Pro Builder forgot to add. We definitely need to put that in there.

There it is on Google maps.

This might be interesting to do
:D

"Retail" blockland is at a significant disadvantage considering that the design calls for a 3 "pronged" design (IE. Triangular) which means that everything would be of kilter.

We should challenge them to build a 50k brick build.

I agree

Yea, thats what I was thinking, three prongs would be kinda goofy, I wonder if thats why they did it...
