ok so i watched an anime in a culture class im taking, and it was weird as stuff, but it was intriguing. idk what it was called, some dude was trying to save the spirits of the forest from humans building factories, and the humans were trying to kill the forest spirit and the animals got infected with a demon and stuff, dude forgeted some wolfgirl idk

point is, i want to watch another one and see if i find it interesting. ive never watched anything anime (unless pokemon counts idk) so i have no knowledge about it. im looking for something war themed (any time period) or with cool battle scenes (large scale if possible), and not really over the top or fantasy-esque.

thanks in advance for the help (forgot to mention no hentai thanks)

You probably watched princess mononoke by hao miazaki. If you want quality anime, don't wtach a tv series (unless it's eva or cowboy bebop)

just look up "studio ghibli films" and you'll find Miazaki's other stuff. It's all great.

it's hayao miyazaki
I am aware of this. I was typing too fast. I'm also braindead. That contributes.

not even technically
The nutshack was made in the phillipines, which is located in asia. asian cartoons are normally referred to as anime. Therefore, the nutshack, is indeed, an anime.

Anime is specifically from Japan, where "animation" is shortened as "anime" and which has a very distinct style
the nutshack is not anime

You sure? I thought all of Asia's cartoons were referred to as anime.
OFF TOPIC: I have a dumb-as-rocks friend who thinks China isn't in Asia
