the irony writes itself
i thought the irony was in telling people to stop, but in reality the post that tells people to stop keeps the thread going, both because of revers psychology, and because the thread is being bumped. No matter how long ago the previous post is, if someone else decided to post, then a response post is more likely to occur, especially if the former post was a post asking, or ordering for something to be done. Since humans commonly respond in defiance to direct confrontation, I knew telling people to stop wouldn't kill the thread, and infact actually that it would revitalize the thread by invoking human nature.
