its not paranoia if you're not wrong

it's hard to worry about when another infinite amount of things can also kill you

--- Quote from: IkeTheGeneric on January 16, 2017, 06:44:06 PM ---I got an antibiotic-resistant bug (not quite superbug but kind of) back in the summer of 2016 and I was sick for two months straight. I lost 20 pounds and got really unhealthy for awhile there, it isn't fun at all whatsoever.

PATIENT ZERO

IkeTheGeneric:

NGL If I caught it again, it would probably kill me.

SeventhSandwich:

Antibiotic resistance is one of the biggest up-and-coming problems for humanity, but this case probably isn't the start of the apocalypse.

For one, the woman who died was 70+ years old, lived in India, and had health problems. She was probably immunocompromised, which might be why she died after antibiotics failed. All of you, on the other hand, are spry young teenagers who are less likely to die from a bacterial infection, antibiotics or not.

Stories like these are really bad news for hospitals, but I doubt there's cause to buy a fallout shelter right now. Unless, like, you want to, or something.
