why do liberals hate freedom and want less rights?

I don't know, I'm on the left and I support all the bolded above fully. I support the 2nd Amendment but I'd support more comprehensive background checks so you don't sell legal guns to possible terrorists. You can be in support of business freedom and still want some government intervention in the economy so you don't end up crashing the market due to rampant deregulation. The only thing I'd disagree with is "right to refuse business", which isn't a right and actually conflicts with freedom of religion if somebody isn't a Christian.
Honestly people on the right are willing to take more of these rights away than those on the left. They'd sacrifice free speech to keep "order", they'd sacrifice free press to weed out "fake news", they'd sacrifice free religion because of Muslims and they'd sacrifice privacy rights for "more security".
