I'd assume it's based on the day the account was created not when it's activated since you can't tell when someone has activated an old account.

It still shows the day they were created. My account was made June 30th 2013 but I didn't buy a key until around September the same year.

Ki got banned, but I can't find the post that got him banned.

I don't think any predictions on him should count, however, considering how much of the same old troublemaker he proved to be within a week.
