man that sucks. i'd say they're keeping up with inflation, but unless they had their prices way too low for way too long, i don't see how they would need to hike that much over such a short period of time to keep up. is an explanation offered anywhere? like if they're funding something new, a price hike would make sense, but i wouldn't expect them to lower the prices too readily afterwards
