what do people who have been deaf their whole life sound like when they think?? how do they even know what to expect words to sound like

--- End quote ---
I would imagine it would be the same as how they read. When we read we tend to hear the sounds, but I suppose a deaf person doesn't.

I guess they just see text in their mind perhaps, or sign language. But I wonder how a deaf illiterate thinks. I suppose it's mostly visual.

One part of my OCD is spelling out the individual words as I think them, it really slows down my thinking and processing. I also spell key words of other people's sentences which slows me down too. Sucks.

i can't pin down what my voice in my head sounds like. it changes a lot depending on if i'm thinking about it in the first place, like reading. or typing this, for that matter. i think in fragments, which is why i type like that. ill send messages over steam in chunks really fast. it'll end up being like 15 messages for a paragraph. typically, i have to talk with people to think through something in depth. otherwise there's just music in my head

i talk to myself

Drydess:

a few years ago i started mentally narrating my life like a sitcom and it just stuck lol
though i usually don't think audibly, but visibly

for instance when i read i just think of giant ass versions of the words while i go
