There's still an economic incentive to take in more immigrants. Unless you're completely unemployed for half your adult life, it's really not that hard to be productive enough to offset the cost of social programs. The average person doesn't use more than $53,000 worth of government services in a year, every year, for the rest of their life.

But cutting immigration doesn't help balance the budget or decrease the debt - it just prevents us from having more productive human capital in our economy. In the long-term (like, the figures we're looking at when talking about the national debt), immigration helps grow our economy.

But this isn't actually keeping out any dangerous Muslims. Our vetting system is already the most robust in the entire world.
Not only that, but this ban will serve to remove people from our country who have served in the US military, but came into the US on visas from these 'dangerous muslim' countries.
