It's not necessary, as it's expected the end developer will have a device to store their data. --- End quote --- no, it's a version of the console with higher specc'd hardware that allows attached USB devices and unauthorized application execution, along with massive amounts of built in debugging functionality. also, xbox dev kits also require system software to run obviously. xbox is an x86 device and as such generally requires bootable media to even start... ...and since you can't boot directly to games through some miracle that's where the xbox dashboard and built in harddrives come into play. so the luck chance is still there that you could find some source code of xbox drivers or the xbox dashboard. the chance is not high since it's microsoft we're talking about here, but even microsoft has its leaks (windows 2000 source) aand one final thing here: he's bullstuffting, the case is a bit rough but somehow clear in the picture which can be attributed to it possibly being 3d printed and cleverly painted. |
