Short History On The Map Rights Movement

rambo1220:

i guess this is my experience/history with maps.

After the removal of maps, I pretty much stopped playing entirely, it went from me playing the game daily, to a few times a week, and then maybe a few times a month, and then prob 3 or 4 months after removal I just stopped altogether (still browsed the forums though). I would come back every here and there though, just to see what was happening, then at one point I legit stopped entirely, taking a two and a half year long rest.

Then summer 2016 I came back and did stuff, which was great, love the shaders and dynamic system, but still miss maps a lot. Going back and reading Heed's thread about improving BL breaks me heart every time also.

Man, we should just have a sideboot for a version of Blockland with maps called "Blockland Legacy"
Thats it, set it up so it uses a seperate master server/IP Connect Only/Offline.

I don't think it needs to be anything else, the only issue really I have is that the v20 Version of blockland, that we can still use btw, isn't more popular.

...this is literally the v20 build port made
like just use that, why waste development time on something like this

block placing and general controls on the vive sounds funky and awkward

Red Spy:

Trying to sell a game to a post 2010 audience with maps that look like they were pulled out of an arcade port from 1993 doesn't garner a lot of cash
