Jurassic Roleplay! Totally kickass.

er mer gerd dinos

On a serious note probably not haha. I'm gonna model some stuff and post it soon

How about a space frontier styled RPG.
You have two playable major factions, the "terran" faction is a bunch of human colonies (dictatorship, explorers, rebels,etc...) they have your usual guns and SPESS armor, the "protoss" are the super mega advanced natives with laser swords and stuff.
The third unplayable faction is the "Zerg" faction, with hives scatered across the planet.
The point of the RPG is for one race to prevail over the other (Humans genociding the "Protoss" because they wont leave their temples and stuff, "Protoss" forcing the humans to leave) with hive raids in which the "Terran" and the "Protoss" race trough the "zerg" hordes to get to loot and stuff.

Also the "" are for race/faction stereotype.

How about a game about playing as snails? It could be like Game of Thrones but in the world of snail hierarchy.

I would literally pay to play a good western rpg

love me some westerns

As of right now, we are strongly leaning towards a futuristic type of fantasy RPG.

as a dude whos hosted many a (kinda) popular server over the past few years, the biggest problem i've had to deal with is players not wanting to play your game as you intended them to, in that instead of say, "working together," they often split and go on their own separately and don't really utilize functions you've painstakingly put in the game because they either dont care or just want to play the game without them. then they complain that your game has no substance and leave.

the community is a tough problem to overcome. if you can, props.

Although faction battles and such are a planned thing, players will also certainly be able to play the game as a single person. Although the main massive dungeon will be for factions, there will be other smaller dispersed dungeons for just 1 person / a few random people.

why not make rewards systems for fighting in guilds or whatnot
i would imagine that would encourage people to work in groups

I second this, because there's something about seeing people travel and work in groups to beat different things that just feels good

I will most likely do this, we are def gonna have bigger dungeons require a party due to its scale / its gonna take forever. Dungeons won't be just a static map it will be random and will  have randomly generated loot. I attend making mini bosses and large brick bosses for these raids as well. Heres a preview for our giant door for the dungeon :)

How far into the abyss will you go.

yea like how raids in world of warcraft require x number of people
or you could do a check for other people in a proximity and get an extra 10 xp and 5 gold or smthin
