Sorry to Say, private investigating is just finding person info publicly shared online and gathering  it together. So legally this is not a violation of privacy as the victims revealed their personal information.

If these investigatees are used to shutdown people from argueing against things, then I will agree this is fight lost, and rightfully so.

But if these investigatees were used to track criminals and give the information to the authorities, politically biased or otherwise, this was not an immoral action.
