Vive is way better overall imho. I own one and I'm extremely happy with it, even with it's small bugs (controllers not syncing up, etc)

I've developed for the newest models of both (and devices I can't talk about) and from my experience, the differences are real slim. Oculus is a bit more comfortable to wear, Vive has a better "temperament" as far as getting installed and working on different machines.

Really, the only decision factor you should be using on these two is the price, because everything else is so similar that the differences are negligible.
