The textures seen above are from the now unused, Starworld from the E3 Demo of Super Mario Galaxy.
Although these textures were in the beta of the game, they were used on the low polly version of the stage.

The textures I have put in do work, but I need help on what level of transparency they need to be.
To make them "work", I put them into paint.net; applied black and white, and now I need an exact number for transparency otherwise painting does not work.

The files below, are unused. I may re-purpose the grass line for something else. As for the other one, it was used to on the low poly version of the level which is completely unseen on video.

why do you need an exact number?
wouldn't it change based on how much you want the paint to be applied in each area?

try checking the other modter prints and see their transparency values

why do you need an exact number?
I can only add the transparency by layer properties, it's a slider from 0-255.

How do I check the values in paint.net?

open the print and use a color picker
you can magic wand select portions of the texture and change its transparency by moving to a separate layer
