They're a racially-prejudiced nationalist group that promotes white supremacy who have become increasingly irrelevant in recent years. Calling them 'evil' is giving them too much credit.

I think he's a piece of stuff who probably in some cosmic sense deserved what was coming to him more than your average Joe, but I don't think that homicide is a good thing by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't just think they qualify, I know for a fact they are a terrorist group. Their wikipedia article quite literally dubs them as a christian terrorist group. They're historically characterized for their use in terrorism against people they didn't like.

Now to be fair, they aren't quite as dangerous as they used to be. They're still very outwardly hostile, but they've really fallen off the grand American spotlight in the past many years.
