Pop-eye Movie canceled for "Emoji Movie"

also the popeye movie looked like trash. none of the humor was remotely similar to the original.

although i would enjoy a pop-eye movie as a homage to the cartoons i watched as a child (dvds are a blessing), it would make more sense to make the emoji movie. it would definitely draw in more people due to the relevancy of emojis compared to pop-eye

you guys realize that people have been trying to make a movie about emojis for years now but everytime they bring it up they go "nah that's a stupid idea"
also the Popeye movie looked pretty accurate to the cartoon, even in humor
