The three journalists responsible, Ben Fritz, Jack Nicas and Rolfe Winkler, all Wall Street Journal writers, "broke the story" and Disney and Youtube pulled support as a reaction. In fact, I'm pretty sure the three went straight to the companies to tell them this stuff.

Also, this is loving amazing:

"Youtube's Monster: PewDiePie and his Populist Revolt"

--- Quote from: NY Times's apology after the 2016 Presidential Election ---As we reflect on the momentous result, and the months of reporting and polling that preceded it, we aim to rededicate ourselves to the fundamental mission of Times journalism. That is to report America and the world honestly, without fear or favor, striving always to understand and reflect all political perspectives and life experiences in the stories that we bring to you.

i dont think he'll sue because its probably not doing that much damage to his career. if he sues over it, itll just draw more attention to the issue and drag it out making him look worse. youtubers arent big news to the general pop, but filing a major lawsuit against journalists for writing bad articles about him saying "death to the jews" will def bring a lot of unwanted heat

sure he lost disney, but in the eyes of most people it seems like theyre either on his side/think he's received suitable punishment

it's hard to win a libel/slander case as a famous person. you have to prove intentional harm and not just the fact that bad things happened to you because people spread word about something you publicly did

Well, going directly to disney and pressuring them to cut ties with pewdiepie seems like intentional harm to me.

the disregard for context in this article goes beyond normal MSM ignorance into the realm of intentional harm
