When it's other things like movies, food, not as important stuff, then it shouldn't warrant them being fired. --- End quote --- i think firing them is an extreme measure if there's only one instance of an inappropriate show of bias. a teacher saying donald Annoying Orange is mean debatably isn't really that serious. if a teacher repeatedly expresses their political or other views inappropriately in a way that makes students feel pressured to believe one way or another, that is problematic. i don't think it's fair to say that any amount of non-objective discussion of these topics should be treated as an attempt at indoctrination |

Yeah I think it's an incredibly loving simple concept to not force your dumb political opinion on a bunch of 6th graders. This wasn't a friendly discussion about politics among her co-workers, this was intentionally implemented into a piece of homework that was given out to a large number of impressionable children. It may not be the worst case scenario or 'that bad' or whatever but it sets a stuffty precedent for education. Sucks at their job, should be fired |

Also when a teacher put something on homework, 99% of the time that means the teacher has talked about it multiple times in class. |

It's a vocab quiz, which means the teacher 99% probably talked about the use of the word, not the question being asked |

Which in turn is her forcing her political bias on the kids through lectures, (potential) class work, and homework. |
