You don't claim money, it doesn't get taxed, money is not tracked, can go anywhere (say mexico) and therefore doesn't get put into the US economy but rather the Mexican economy.

illegal immigrants still have to live here and buy things so yes, they are stimulating the economy. you should really take an introductory macro course
