within 3 months you have a much, much higher chance of being forgeted from outside sources than you do spending 30 years in prison
a lot more people will know about your actions 3 months forward than 30 years

hmmmmmm, maybe the fact that spending 30 years in prison is psychologically damaging compared to 3 months
