There are a number of times where people have been shot for holding something in their hand while getting out of the car. If a cop is pulling you over, KEEP YOUR HANDS EMPTY. Only do what they say, don't get out of the car before being told, and don't pull out your license before they ask you for it.

On the bright-side at-least we're diverting media outrage to ALL cases of actually mistaken police shootings instead of just ones that involve black criminals
Look at this image:
Now imagine both of these objects 30ft away, at night. You see someone pointing this object at you. You have split seconds to make a call and if it is the wrong call you will never go home to your wife and kids again. Traffic stop etiquette should probably be on the driving test along with all the other obvious stuff lol.
