This is the vocal minority that tarnishes the image of the majority. it's no longer about race, it's about picking an easy target, a group that is already poor, and capitalizing off of their incarceration through social stigma and the poverty cycle. if black people were the majority and whites were the minority, this stuff would happen to white people too. white people would grow up in a poor neighborhood, go to an underfunded school, be surrounded by various stigmas that say they're going to grow up to be criminals. eventually, the prison industrial complex will creep in. first they'll arrest you for a misdemeanor. then they'll make you sign a plea deal, you'll sit in jail for a couple months while they jerk off and not bother to review your case. suddenly you're back in the real world, with a arrest record permanently tainting your image. pretty soon you'll be back in that cell again. |
